What destroys them all is Anfield is one of the world's truly famous stadiums (or should that be stadia? Fuck knows). Not only are we a much bigger club, it hurts them that people come from all over the world to see our ground. It's why they try to belittle it by coming out with all this "we built that ground" when in actual fact the reason we exist is because they wanted no part of the ground being developed and wouldn't pay the rent. It's a reason why they're desperate for this BMD stadium. They think it will gazump us. But even if it ever gets built, it just won't, because you can't just buy that romance that comes with the history of our ground.

I don't mind anyone who enjoys it. I've found it a bit mental how it's been promoted though, because not many people are actually interested. Wembley gets sold out for all kinds of shite, doesn't make it popular across the nation as a whole. 

 

I couldn't even bring myself to cheer that, although I did enjoy the bounce and I'm awaiting her career after the tournament.
