i'm the sort of person who's shits don't smell after i've flushed, however whenever I do one downstairs it seems to smell for hours, doesn't stop me doing it though, pisses everyone else off mind particularly as it is next to the front door

It's a trick. The upstairs bathroom is where your Mrs will want to bathe herself in rose water with jasmine scented candles twice a week. You are expected to anticipate this and refuse to pollute the bathroom atmosphere.

The correct answer is to take a shit at work, you get to stop working and you have no worries about stink and skid marks.

Further to previous posts, a toilet is a toilet. It's primary function is to accept shit and piss, occasionaly vomit and dead goldfish. When our daughter was growing up the downstairs one was also used for Sugar Puffs and Lego. The little darling even drew a picture on the wall in her own shite once. Try finding a cleaning fluid with 'cleans infants shite off walls' on it.

But in answer to the original question: Shit away my good man. Shit away.
