  1. Piss-pawed, spunk-fingered cunts who read a newspaper at the stand then put it back.
  2. Tight cunts who read newspapers at the stand in supermarkets without buying.
  3. Miles better than the daytrippers and whoppers at our home games. I much prefer aways these days. Leave the Utras tag to the Tallies and the mancs though eh? Anybody remember the two lads who bought a ship's flare down the Aberdeen docks before a pre-season friendly with the Dons about ten years back? These pesky little ( soon to be incarcerated ) scamps fired it from outside the ground onto the pitch. It hit the centre circle like a, erm, rocket, ripping up a piece of turf about a foot long, before hitting a police cabin in their main stand. How it never hit any of the players, or indeed a spectator was a fuckin miracle. We were all going nuts because we thought it was their boys who'd fired it from their end.
  4. 0-2 at home to Crystal Palace in the FA Cup under Hula-hoop. Midweek replay, freezing cold, they had ten men ( and scored a second ), big Ivanhoe Heskey ran the full length of their half on his tod for a one on one with the keeper before falling on his arse and Bruno fucking Cheyrou trotting about in his golden boots having a nightmare. I got three points for speeding on the way home an all.
  5. Nah, he's a cunt mate. Only mildly entertaining if you hadn't got bored with his same old shite this last ten years.
  6. As a resident of Falkirk, I'm qualified to say that the bold Mr Joyce is a fucking lunatic. And a right money grabbing one at that. He regularly topped the MPs expenses charts year in year out, flying everywhere first class, and claimed for houses that he'd never set foot in. It's a fact that he became the first UK MP to claim over a million quid in expenses ( in cumulative terms ) during his time in office. No item was deemed too small or irrelevant to stick a claim in for by the grasping ex-army Major ( taxpayers paid for oil paintings because they, quote: 'look nice' ) , and he's well known to the landlords of the town's many hostelries as a ' don't you know who I am? ' merchant. As a Labour town though, Joyce was more or less a shoe-in for the gig every election. He got done for drink driving ,his second ban in three years, after a boozy flight to Edinburgh he unwisely decided to drive back to Falkirk. Stopping off at a nearby oil refinery, by way of pranging the car off the entry gates, he staggered up to the Security Gatehouse and began rambling some 'incoherent gibberish' to the guard, who swiftly phoned plod and poor Eric got the nick again. Recently, the father of two was linked with a 17 year old local girl, and Young Labour official, who he had been pursuing romantically since she was 'a bit younger'. Then came the fisticuffs in Parliament. All in all the perfect credentials for an Oliver Reed style cult hero. In reality though, he's just an odious cunt.
  7. He's a 'look at me' manager. Loves that old bollocks of coming onto the pitch to 'berate' the officials. Pure pantomime. Never rated the cunt.
  8. My mate can't go tomorrow so his ticket is available. Main stand in the seat next to me. Face value. PM me if interested.
  9. Wonderful defence-splitting pass from Neville for the second one there.
  10. Fella at work's nickname is Prince Albert, on account of his actual name. Willie Pearson.
  11. Worcester sauce all the way baby. Pickled onion Monster Munch hit the spot too, but technically, as a maize based snack, they can't be considered in this instance.
  12. I've got loads of fairly rare Northern Soul 7" records that I know are worth a few grand and I've got more or less everything Weller's done, from the Jam onwards, on vinyl. Imports, bootlegs and other assorted rarities. Some of those Jam records have been with me for over 30 years. I lost a few of the latter for reasons detailed in the 'What's the maddest thing your bird's ever done?' thread from a few years back. I kept all the old Two-tone 7" singles and LPs, ditto various mod and punk stuff, and have a decent collection of original Chicago House tunes an all. It's a shame that subsequent generations will never know the pleasure of strolling into a record shop and flicking through all the album covers on the shelves. And see this place? I remember when it was all fields.......

  14. Difference of opinion Zeke. No offence taken nor intended. I quite like those Londons of yours but I'm not keen on the '2012' bit on the tongues. Apart from that, they're not bad. Kinda Gazelle-ish looking which I would guess means small made.
  15. I always thought a 'strategic wank' was a purely performance enhancing manoeuvre designed to make you last a bit longer during sex. The old adage ' Never go in with a loaded gun ' and all that. Unlike Oscar.
  16. Aw for fuck's sake. North Face is a chav brand now? Another good brand ruined by the great unwashed masses a la Barbour? Not gonna stop me wearing mine I'm afraid. I got my parka in, of all places, Florida about six years ago. It was pricey but because of the exchange rate at the time, two dollars to the pound, I got a good deal on it. Had it vacuum packed to bring home cos it's a big fucker. Great buy that has seen me through some of the worst weather we've had here in Blighty for many a year. The jacket itself keeps you extremely warm in sub zero temperatures, and, as someone else earlier remarked, is akin to wearing a duvet. Because of this I generally only wear a t-shirt and light fleece or sweater under it. I think it's fair to say the parka can't really be worn in mildly cold weather as you'll sweat your bollocks off in it. It's got about a dozen pockets which means your door keys are never in the first eleven you check but that's nowt really. I would defo advise purchasing of said garment regardless of expense as I see it as an investment that can be worn for years to come. Mine hasn't let me down since 2008 and I'll wear it through the scal storm and out the other side.
  17. I loved my Patrick boots. I had the Keegan Kings with the green stripes and ally studs. If memory serves, Southampton's strip was Patrick, and Kev, as one of their players, wore the boots. They had a kinda short-lived coolness round about 1980-82. Aye, the Borg Elites have a well earned rep as a class pair of trainees. I don't have any original Trabs, but I noticed one small difference when they started getting re-issued about ten years back. The sole on the originals I remember being more of a cream colour? As opposed to the bright white on the new ones.
  18. I know a few lads who rate the Borg Elites as the top trainer from the 80s. They were more into the whole casual thing though. And those Californias in blue look good on. I've just never been a big fan of Puma. Except of course for my Puma Dalglish f*otball boots in 1980. Silver stripe, metal studs and an overall thing of beauty. As a 12 year old budding midfield general ( a bud that failed to flower ), those babies were the fucking tops. They were purchased with part of the winnings from a bold bet on that year's Grand National winner 'Ben Nevis'. A 40/1 outsider with a crisp pound note on it's back courtesy of my Dad.
  19. Aye? Fair dues you ain't keen Zeke. Makes me like them just that little bit more actually. On a separate note, anybody on here know where you can get that Liverpool Originals t-shirt? Not the official Adidas one, but the one with the Liver bird wearing a pair of what looked like Trab/Munchen. I saw Pete Evo wearing one somewhere earlier this season but didn't get a chance to ask him. I tried Hatscarfbadge cos it looked like one of theirs but no luck.
  20. DaPamantis me old fruit! Those look like Spezials to me mate. How you diddling these days anyway? I kinda baled from here about a year ago, but I've just got my goldmember status renewed. Are the big hitters still hitting? Same old, same old bores and rep whores still boring/whoring?
  21. Some top trainer testimonials on here. Always Adidas for me. Current daily use faves in KK78 towers include Trabs in red suede, ZX600 in grey/yellow, Spezials in black and now the new Trabs in navy nubuck. I've also got some Keglers and Munchens in white that only see the summer months and ZX750's in a fucked navy blue/mud colourway for dog walking duties. I find the Gazelles run small ( I'm an 11 ), but got a boss navy blue pair in the States last year in an 11.5 that fit perfectly. I also got a pair of Grand Slams last year online and found them to be chronically small made. The size difference between some lines in the same brand can be ridiculous, although I've found the 'bigger' styles (Munchen, Trab, ZX) generally run true. If you buy direct from Adidas you get the option of half sizes but delivery can be slow as they come direct from Germany. My old mate on here years back, PaddyBerger15, had an amazing Adidas collection full of really rare deadstock, and was extremely knowledgable on all of Mr Dassler's footwear products.
