I'm not a huge fan of Carlton Cole, but I could see that he would be a useful addition for us with a physical presence up top. Sometimes we are a bit lightweight so this link makes sense.

 

If you get Babel and Lucas in exchange for Cole then the deal definitely favours West Ham. I'd be surprised if we sent those two your way. One of them, plus a lesser player to boost your squad (Plessis or El Zhar) seems about right.

 

Still, if we are under orders to trim the wage bill, given our financial difficulties with our bad owners, then it might be two first teamers who do end up leaving.

Getting rid of Babel and Lucas would be a blessing but i highly doubt Babel and Lucas will be offered for the injury prone Cole considering we turned down a 9 million bid from Birmingham for Babel alone last season.
