Does it really matter? The question should be, 'Why are we starting with a central midfield pairing of Lucas and Spearing'?

Our squad is scarily thin, and I have serious doubts about our ability to finish in a Champions League spot.

Does it really matter? Probably not. But the question must be asked why benitez's man management is so poor that he pissed off one of our best players not once but twice so the player decided it was time to move on and now finds his midfield options limited?

i think its fair to say it probably not an Andy Gray-ism and Rafa does favour bringing on his first sub around 65mins but does anyone know if its that unusual compared to the managers of the other clubs around us?

Don't know. But we seem to concede first more often than the other teams in the top 4 meaning we need to change things.

Probably not that dissimilar really.

I've seen Mourinho make a non-injury change 30 minutes into a match, because he got it wrong.

But Cain he's had no money mate.

Bollocks, its his fault and his fault alone.

That's bullshit. He's had money(not as much as other manager's, mind), and there have been bargains out there. He's been buying the wrong player.

He's only been flying skint for ONE season, and he spent big on two players, for that one.

Granted, he recouped it all in sales but we're still looking at the same problem as EVERY year.

No striking options, threadbare on the attacking flanks... except now we have problems of his own making: Shit midfield.

He meant it in a snidey way, he agrees with whatever you've just posted.
