Football needs a revolution

Socialism is the only way forward. We should allow the lesser teams each to pick one player from the the top teams for free. Last team which stayed up could pick one player from the first team, second last from the team which came second etc.

That is what Karl Marx and Bill Shankly would have wanted I am sure.

Something needs to be done but fuck knows what. Maybe a salary cap based on percentage of income? This would have to be worldwide though (or throughout all Europe at least).

I'd also like a rule introduced wereby owners can't make profits from their clubs. All money made by a football club should be reinvested into the club, at whatever level.

Seriously now 80 Million Pound transfers? Inflated Ticket Prices, clubs in massive load of debt and going bust.

It's not on.

How do you fix it?

Stop going the match or cancel your Sky subscription.

Until people start doing that the madness is going to continue.

That is not socialism, it is rewarding useless cunts with stuff for free.

Oh I see you're point! Carry on.

Not practical though. Look at our club - for every spare seat there will be a queue of people waiting to go.

You are correct however - can't really see how the game can be changed without that kind of a drastic measure. I remember last season listening to a caller who took his two sons to Emirates for the first time and it cost him around £250!! £250 for a 90 minute football game! Of course the guy is stupid to spend that much for 1 game but that is the state of football these days.

It is becoming a massive turn off.

Footballers are in very privileged positions but they are getting far too greedy. They are out of touch with reality and distancing themselves from the fans that ensure they get to have the pleasured life they have. Something has got to give soon because loyalty, respect and appreciation from the modern day footballer has been replaced with ignorance, egotism and greed.

I'd like to think there is a way of sorting it all out without reverting to caps of salary or transfer fees.

I just think the whole thing needs dumbing down, I mean is Torres really going to fuck off if he gets paid 20k a week as opposed to the 90k he's on now? Would Ronaldo still wanted to have gone to Real Madrid if the transfer wasn't 80 Million? Of Course he would.

How do you juggle the rights of the players, the club and it's owners with the needs of the fans? You can't.

If people think it's bad now it's only going to get far worse. I'm a true fan but an OOT and used to be able to attend anywhere between 5 and 8 games a season. Unless I go through vermin (a tout) which I won't I now can't get a ticket.

Those in charge won't give a fuck about me or any other genuine fan as long as they get the corporate money coming through. Just step back for a second and think of the cunts in charge of us, are they going to think of how they can make match day attendence more affordable for true fans or are they on the vinegar stroke looking at what madrid are doing and planning how they can dry rape us some more?

Champions League restricted to only the top team from each country.

7 players out of the starting 11 should be from the club's country - out of which, 3 players should have come through the club's academy.

Salary cap - amount spent on salaries should not exceed 40% of the club's turnover.

Clubs exceeding x amount of debt should be docked 10 points. And will continue to lose 10 points every 3 months should they continue to be in debt by more than x amount.

Loyalty bonus should be scrapped completely.

Signing on fee should be scrapped completely.

There are certain elements missing from the modern game, get these in and we are sorted:

1. Proper hard leather caseys

2. Footballers who smoke

3. Footballers that drive Capris

4. Shit pitches

5. Various animals running/flying onto the pitch

That would do for starters.

The homegrown players rule? In theory I agree, though many of the most execrable players are English. I don't really see how things will ever return to any semblance of normality now, frankly.

I agree, it has gone too far and the clubs have to much power. I dread a break away European super league but i think it will happen.

There are things that could be discussed in theory but i do not think they will ever happen. Things like scrapping transfer fees and only having player swaps and you are only allowed a certain sized squad.

I dont think it is the answer but it is a step in the right direction. Of course, it can have the reverse effect of putting an additional premium on decent english players but will ensure that clubs are investing in their academys which is something the uber rich will not be interested in.

Salary cap should be 80% of revenue for the CL, that will keep City and Chelsea out for the forseeable future

I can't see the existing big 4 accepting City, they will have to find a way to exclude them some how or break away and form a super league
