Football needs a revolution

Until people stop watching the CL and PL and until the jump from the Championship to the Premiership isn't measured in how much it is worth to the club instead of the prestige than football will continue to spiral.

 

The Bundesliga I think is one of the better football leagues in the world. Many of the teams have big stadiums that are jammed every weekend and the price is fair. The football is pretty decent as well.

 

Now cue all those crying for revolution coming on and saying the football is shit, lately German teams are crap in the CL, etc.

 

For the 250 pounds that some Gooner paid to take his kid to the emirates would probably pay for a half-season ticket at a top German club.

 

Supply and Demand I guess.

 

I also think Platini would love to revolutionize but he hasn't figured out how to do it by just penalizing the Englsih clubs.

It can all be tracked as going downhill since Tony Yeboah crashed that wondergoal in off the crossbar. From that point onwards we have always been heading into the doom that awaits us.

 

Football should really be referenced as BY (before Yeboah) and AT (The year of our Tony).

Footy will implode big time and will have to effectively start from scratch IMO, which could be the only way forward. Money destroys everything eventually, it attracts leaches who bleed things dry and then when its dead they find something else to feed on. Our only problem as fans in general was being taken in by it all, but slowly we're realising it's all gone a bit shit.

 

I'm planning to go and watch our local side in the North West Counties League next season, it'll be nice to see some tackling from people who aren't cunts.

Hey Torres is pretty loyal... but i doubt even he would accept such a pay drop... unless of course its universal across all clubs...
