Feeling old because I just can't get back into a band. There's just nothing about. So I'm retiring. The dream is over at 42.

 

Still a bass player, just twanging my instrument alone these days.

 

 

can't you start one?  there must be some musos around too shy to start their own band up

Nick Cave is 59 and still making absolutely vital music. Don't give up fellah. There's deffo people out there that would appreciate what you can offer.

Limited scene down here. In smalltown NZ the options seem limited to classic rock covers and not much else. I'm not a "play no matter what" kind of person, it has to be right or I'd sooner not bother. I just want to jam and kick ideas around and see what forms.

Don't dream its over. You'll be pulling your hair out and getting Split Enz. I'm sure somebody will fall at your feet.
