Dropping Dudek

What do people think of this? I've no doubt that Kirkland is the future and perhaps he is better and should be given a run. But I think the timing of it was a bit off.

Boro was the start of Dudek's bad run last year and it'd have been nice for him to have gone back there and put in a good performance.

Considering Houllier didnt blame Dudek for the united defeat and also spoke in the Express on Saturday morning of how he had done so well in the last 2 Poland games its all a bit bizarre. Perhaps he feels he has to play Kirkland as he'll be off otherwise.

GH said in the club mag after the united game that certain players could have dealt with united's goals better and that he included the goalkeeper in that list of players.

I think the most important thing we need right now is stability so I hope Kirkland stays there forever now. Dudek is a great keeper but I think Kirkland 's time has come and he could become even better. I hope Dudek stays at the club as there would be no better understudy in football but it will be difficult persuading him to stay as he could be most club's permanent No.1.

If kirkland keeps his place, i think its the end of the day for Dudek. He`s far too good to be a back up keeper at his age. I think Houllier knows ( as we all do) that this season is a lost cause and is planning ahead... To give Kirkland more experience by playing him...

Kirkland is the future... my only doubt is that he is a little too much injury proned for my liking...
