See the Daily Mail are saying there are strong rumours of Bellingham having a release clause. Not written by Dominic King and I would be surprised if true as surely it would have come out by now.

His transfer to Barca was a travesty.

 

Barcelona were allowed to sign him as an emergency transfer outside the transfer window because of an injury to Dembele and triggered his release clause but the Spanish FA then refused to grant Leganes the same privilege.

Yep, very much a case of double standards. He was the main striker for Leganes, and they weren't allowed to sign a replacement, got relegated by a point at the end of that season, and have been in the second tier ever since.
