Listening to the podcast, allegedly Bellingham has told Madrid he wants to come to us. 
 

Only thing would be agreeing the fee with Dortmund. They want £130m, Falk has heard we’re prepared to spend £100m. 
 

Sounds like there have been a lot of talks with Bellingham and his family, I doubt we’d get this far to not conclude the deal. 
 

Faulk says he thinks he’ll sign for us.

I’ve suspected he’d come here for ages. It’s a Virgil situation all over again - except this lad is younger and potentially better (positions on the pitch notwithstanding). Now though, I’m totally convinced and can’t see it not happening. It’s only a question of when - and I reckon both he and we want the deal done in January.

There does seem to be a lot of chatter going on though ,if he has made his mind up to come here then it would be madness to not push the boat out and get him in .

Some of have been making this point on VVD and Bellingham. I wonder if the usual doom mongers will come and have a go at you over it…

 

I get Bellingham hasn’t signed anything yet, it can still go tits up, it sounds very promising. 

 

Anyhoo, Falk was pretty clear any transfer would be in the summer, so we still need to address somebody in midfield, ideally, to be available for the Wolves FA Cup game.

Done in January as in arriving or done and arriving at the end of the season?

That is the big question and area for debate though IMO - Are we going to properly address the massive holes in our midfield and add in Jan and add again along with Bellingham in the summer or are we going to do all our money on Bellingham alone?

 

Hopefully it is the others and Bellingham - but i have my doubts that we will stump up the necessary money to do it all.

I simply can’t get excited about Bellingham after the same thing happened with Timo Werner for 2 years before he joined a rival.  ( even though that worked out well for us).

I simply don’t think it will happen with Bellingham, but then again the thought of us signing any midfielders feels like harking back to a long gone era.

I suspect that if we get him in Jan for July, that will add all the value FSG feel we need - shows intent etc, if we miss CL it’s a blip etc etc.

If it ends up being case Bellingham is the only midfielder we add between now and the start of next season/the end of the summer window, then IMO we won't have done enough and we'll still be in trouble in midfield.

 

We need more than that quite a bit more too.

Our only chance is if we get bought out/investment, and soon.  FSG alone would not show the ambition to make this happen.
