That Ratcliffe is an absolute twat.

He is very very close to the Saudis with his very very environmentally unfriendly company.

He pushed for Brexit whilst only being able to spend a certain amount of days in this country so he does not have to pay any fucking tax and then moving his planned business interests from the UK to France.

He also held a Chelsea season ticket and claims to have a split allegiance to them and the Mancs.

"Local lad".  You know, Helen's lad from number 43.  He's done ever so well for himself.  What with his exploitation of cheap labour and substantial tax evasion.

He also looks like Robin Cook's older brother.  Who's been unwell.  And is kipping in his car.

Robin Cook dies after collapsing on mountain

"Hmmmm.  The cheek...."

The sports press love a billionaire and hate asking difficult questions. How many times, over how many years, did we hear about Abramovich “falling in love with football” at a Champions League final? It was bullshit and everyone knew it, but it was a lot easier to regurgitate than to admit that whatever motivations he had must have been somewhere between disturbing and deeply disturbing.
If you have any degree of power in football, and you choose to abuse it, you’re extremely unlikely to be called out on it - and still less face any real consequences. Ferguson chooses not to speak to the BBC for years after they (rightly) investigate his son? Nothing is done. Freddie Shepherd openly brags about ripping off fans and calls Geordie women “dogs”, and takes millions out of the club? He’s still remembered as a hero in the coverage after his death. Even the Owl got to throw his weight around when a journalist asks “Which refereeing decision was it you didn’t like?”

Grangemouth crisis: Billionaire Ineos boss Jim Ratcliffe tells workers to agree to his terms or face the sack

AS the owner of the refinery celebrated his birthday, the 1,400 strong workforce were warned they have until 6pm on Monday to accept the cuts or the plant may close.

From 2013. Lobbied Osborne.

Yeah he's a prick but if he ordered someone to be killed he would be in prison. He isn't a nation state using the nations wealth all as his own. There's a massive difference between the billionaire cunt which 99.9 percent of them are and the essential dictators of a nation buying up world sports for their own amusement because they can do whatever the fuck they like, there's literally no sin they can commit you can think of that they will ever pay any kind of price for.

That doesn’t seem to be a defence of Ratcliffe, it just seems to be a difference between the British legal system and laws compared to those of other countries.

The rich and powerful can do nasty and immoral things with impunity - the only distinction is how nasty, how immoral, and how openly they can do them.

I note on another forum they are tearing themselves apart over this and being a state owned club.

Youre not going to get a super clean billionaire. State run clubs are the worst thing to of happened to the sport, they will run roughshod and be allowed to because the politicians in the country can use the sport as a political shoe horn for their own agendas. City broken countless rules, stolen titles from us but its a political issue purely because of who they are owned by. They can tie legal proceedings up for years and if its getting too annoying just speak to the cunts in Westminster and smooth shit over. Ratcliffe is a prick, I'd be surprised if there's an owner in the league who isn't there's a huge difference between  him and the UAE owning the top clubs in Europe to do with as they please.

There's a huge difference between a club being run by a vulture capitalist arsehole and say someone who has people murdered for their opinions and chopped in tiny little pieces.  State run clubs shouldn't be a thing, it's barely a conpetitve sport any more, relabel it "sports not so much entertainment"

Apparently the Qataris would have bought them Kylian Mbappe, Eduardo Camavinga and Kingsley Coman.

They might have sneaked into the Europa Conference with those signings.

As simple as slapping the money on the table
