We're having a collection for Remmie's dad

That's an amazing total guys thank you so much. Can't wait to let dad know, will try and do the video this weekend. He has just about everything else now, I bought an ancient TV with a built in dvd player from the car boot for a fiver. Annoyingly it needed a universal remote (£12) and I can only make it play a dvd, not pause or select menu options. He wants to persist with this telly rather than get a new one for £100 though. As for a camera he splashed out on an iPhone 6 so he can take pictures if he wants. So the only thing left is this mobility scooter, hopefully we can check out somewhere tomorrow to get an idea of the model he wants.

Champ, I'm a bit confused about this total, is it including the £120 left over for Stevebaby or is it just the £40 that I donated? I'd feel a bit uncomfortable using donations meant for Steve on my Dad.

Remmie, we have since had a further donation of £30 so there is currently £657.19 in my account made up of the £40 you donated for Steve, £134.27 surplus from Steve's collection and £482.92 from this current collection.

The consensus seems to be that people would like you to have the full amount for you to sort something out for your dad and leaving your £40 plus whatever for a donation for Steve's hospice.

What do you say?

Damn I thought I'd replied to this be must not have hit send. I think the best course of action is to take the fund from this collection £482.92 and donate the other money to Steve's hospice. the money should be plenty.

I still haven't got anywhere with mobility scooter purchasing as there is only 1 company that rents out scooters in Milton Keynes and they are outrageously priced - it probably costs 4-5 weeks rental costs to make up the amount donated when there are plenty we could buy outright at that amount, so looks like we are back to buying a good 2nd hand scooter.

Not quite sure where Dad's insatiable lust for hookers emerged from on this thread!

Well, how about I round that up to £500 for you and your dad and the balance to be sent as a donation to Steve's hospice?

How are you thinking of giving it to your dad? Would you like me to send you/him a cheque for him to open?

In the form of the scooter itself, I'm sorting his bills at the moment so via PayPal if thats easiest for you
