Daniel Sturridge: A man in desperate need of his missing mojo - by Jason Harris

He is in the papers pictured with some tart and 'having lunch' in London

For me the club should be allowed to stop him travelling down to London to socialise when he is supposedly injured.

Yes, that would really help our future player recruitment. "We Liverpool Football Club, reserve the right to bar any player from appearing in public if they are injured". Great stuff.

Injured players who presumbaly live somewhere near Liverpool shouldn't in my book be swanning around London on a 'work day'

Just think it is wrong - but hey that is just how I see it.

He could have booked a holiday day with Ian Ayre.

I'd imagine he wouldn't like that very much at all. I also don't think our club are retarded enough to try and entice footballers to play for them by writing statutory sick pay into their contracts. "If you break your leg you may sell your house 'cause you'll be getting fuck all off us ya wee cunt. And initial here. Thanks."

Are you seriously being that thick? As if I was being serious!

I'm still hoping he scores one or two crucial goals for us between now and the end of the season as it could be win-win. Let's say he comes off the bench and turns a draw into three points. It could help us get top four and it could also remind a team or two that he can still make a contribution as a footballer.

That's the outcome I'm hoping for. A key goal or two, helping us and helping himself.

Especially on Saturday if he's available.

Interesting. Personally, I hope he gets sacked today.

Can somebody please shut this thread before a director of football from a club who might want to buy him reads it?

Either that or change the tone.

Damn, hope we don't sell our prolific goalscorer for a cool £30m in the summer. Daniel is worth so much more money than that!

Don't know why but that made me laugh out loud. I can well understand the frustration with him, and he appears to have burned bridges with a lot of the fan base.

He may well have played his last game for the club, as it was telling that he wasn't in Tenerife. But if there's still a chance we see him on the pitch for us again, then a couple of well timed goals could see him get a little goodwill from the fans, and also serve notice to a [likely foolish] buyer that they can unlock the enigma that is Sturridge.

Step forward West Ham. You know it makes sense.

Fuck him...i'd rather see Origi get a chance to get some rhythm or even Woodburn start games.....he does not deserve any chance to put himself in a shop window or win any favour with fans - we'll get a buyer for him anyway, he should rot in the ressies until we do......assuming he'd even be 'fit' to play for them.
