He's a rookie and he's not learning quickly enough.  His mettle is being tested and he's floundering badly.  Unless we go into freefall, he gets until the end of the season to make his case.  

 

If there is an opportunity to improve the squad in Jan, it needs to be taken.  He/the committee/the fall guy/thing de jour haven't bought as badly as it seems.  The players brought in are far better than the coaching they are getting, as can be seen by watching them at their previous clubs, so I don't think the risk is as great as we might think.  And we have obvious holes that need filling.

My wife was insisting to me that adolescence lasted until 25 these days, a position I took to be more excuses - next year it'll be 30. 

 

How is Rodgers a rookie when he's been here 2 1/2 years and managed at other clubs before that?

25 signings and 23 of them have been poor up to now. The other frustratingly inconsistent and the last always injured.

Along with his absolute inability to set up a defence properly or even recognise the importance of it.

 

Grim, grim stuff, but hardly surprising.

He does seem like s decent enough guy and seems to care about the club , but don't they all. Last season has proved to be a false dawn as he hasn't addressed the problems that were evident last season and in the end the outcome is down to him and the so called transfer committee whatever and whoever it is. Should be given to end of the season barring a continuing free fall getting seriously drastic , which is pretty close to being just that , then its to qoute Rodgers , we move on and take a few with him.

Obviously, we've fucked up. Everyone knows it, the players already here must know it, Brendan must know it. He's the fall guy for it if he can't turn it around.

 

If, if he could show signs of progress, and if he can keep from losing the dressing room, (and unless new players are coming in, his job rests hugely on Sturridge getting fit, staying fit, and playing well), then in my eyes he deserves the chance to sort the mess out, let the players not up to it go (if there are takers), and add one or two players of real quality, which is the blueprint in the premier league for being able to challenge at the top end of the league.

Phil Thompson says that he has enough in the bank from last season to get him the rest of this one - but things must improve before May. So I'll vote for that. unless Klopp or Simeone wants the job now. In which case they shouldn't let him on the bus back from Eastbourne.

Baffling.

He's eleventh and surely without goals in our team and a defence that's getting worse we won't make top 4 and we all know how poor he is in the cups.

 

His only hope is the jantranwin but will he be given any pennies? Do we want him to be?

Personally - I think it's all well and good to sack him now. But then what? Are people really serious talking about Stevie and Carra and shite like that....?

But if they did then I have no idea nor will anyone else on the forum, its up to the owners to discover the answer but Im sure the longer the job is vacant the more time they will have, if we dont get a permanent appointment before then well so what, we havent wasted anymore time anyway. What would we lose really, a caretaker might surprise us with results.

I think it's a fair assumption, and I'd rather we just got in a proper experienced manager rather than a quick fix

Simeone might have agreed and signed a new contract with his club by the seasons end, unsure about if we will make a move at the end of the season for example so its all conjecture just get rid and then we can if need be appoint someone til end of the season non perm as at least then if they do become available we are ready to go.

There's going to be so much quotable shit when Rodgers turns this around.

 

It's just a shame that it's from posters who you wouldn't expect to be acting like hysterical fannies.  We seen similar garbage from people after his rough start in the job.  That was mainly because plenty of idiots were still hankering for Benitez.  Rodgers showed them all up last season.  It's sort of shows how stupid some people can be when you look back and realise plenty of them wanted him out of the job after the first season despite obvious signs we had become a very good side under him.  Last season showed that to be very true in the end.

 

After a poor start to this season with some very explainable factors and they're out in force again.  You would think they would learn but no, he needs to be sacked now.  He's taking it from all angles at the moment and it's not on in my opinion.  He should be getting backed by the fans because of the side he showed he can produce.  Let the other dickhead clubs with their dickhead fans act like brats it shouldn't be how it's done here.

 

I don't know how many times we have to change managers in recent times before people realise there is no quick fix at LFC.  We've got a good young manager who sees this as his career.  Get off his back and support him.  He needs it at the moment.
