At the risk of being a moaning twat I can't fathom the logic behind Raheem playing 120 mins in the league cup against Middlesbrough for example and not playing against Madrid. Playing on the biggest stages in the game can only help our brightest young talent learn and further gain the confidence he needs. Unless of course we have decided we aren't good enough to go there and try and make that happen..

Oh well, come on redmen...

Come on the red men. If we lose badly here, he's going to have a lot of people on his case. If we lose badly here, he'll have brought it on himself.

Rodgers is prioritizing the league and covering himself. A battering tonight and he can say it was a makeshift side to save us for Chelsea. A battering against them means we're shite in either case.

I'm actually feeling better with this team - nothing to lose and all to win.

Damned if he does, damned if he doesn't.

Rodgers can't win can he, there's always going to be complaints no matter what.

He gets the arse kicking and it's his decision.

Except our dignity and reputation. We're the 5 times winners of this tournament and should not be humiliated by any opponent. There's a good chance we could suffer our worst ever defeat in Europe tonight (5-1).

For me, I've given him loads of support. I know it's really difficult for him to face this season without Suarez and Sturridge, plus the signings haven't settled, but this one seems really strange to me. That said, it'll be hard pushed to be too much worse than before.

I meant the players out there have nothing to lose - reputations could be made tonight.

If im Ancelotti and ive just seen that line up and utter contempt. I tell my team to go out and humiliate us.

Also should we get down to the last game of this group needing them to do us a favour and they field a weakened sideand draw or get beat...................... Oh the Irony.
