Which issue? the one where you fabricated that I am homophobic? Or the one where you claim i'm a racist thug?

Cook the man some fuckin eggs

The amount of times I've seen you talking about sticking things up people arses leads me to believe you are not homophobic, far from it.

Harsh and wrong statements being made against you.

I've seen Ings in a few games - he certainly showed the work rate that Rodgers values in a striker. Of Balotelli, Lambert and Borini the only one who makes any runs in the box is Borini, something that Ings will do, too. A line of Sterling, Lallana and Coutinho will create chances for runners.

I reckon it's shrewd enough for the price and that Ings will run through walls for us if he comes.

I agree.

How the Fuck have the rent boys got 32m for Schurrle?

The sceptic in me thinks there must be some sort of dodgy dealings going on, but that must be all in my head.

50m for David Luiz? Nah coincidence. Nothing dodgy either

Fucking cunts, as Dave U said - a club I despise with every fibre of my being.

Somebody, in the world, watched the Chelsea game in midweek and after it their conclusion was "Well, that was pretty good, but you know what would make it even better? If we signed Danny Ings and immediately loaned him back to Burnley." Instead of trying to have that person sectioned, other people actually agreed.

Remarkable.

I don't get your logic. We failed to score a goal, Ings scores goals. Ings should score more goals in the future as he's only 22. Why should someone be sectioned? It's a reasonable train of thought.

Because we need a striker right now. Right now. Not having adequate cover for Sturridge just cost us the league cup. We're favourites for the Uefa cup, in the FA cup and are chasing 4th. If we get a striker we can get all those things; if we don't and Sturridge goes down again, the season will be over by the middle of March.

That's just football though isn't it? He puts out a top class first XI and that's all people care about. If Rodgers bought some top class strikers, DM, CB and goalie then his transfer mistakes would be largely forgotten too. Unfortunately most of his transfer mistakes are in the team and on the bench.

As Robbie says, it's easy to rectify your mistakes and not have to live with them so much when you've got a lot more resources.

I hadn't seen that post.

Yeah you are right we haven't really bought from the top shelf. I would argue that Mascherano was world class when we signed him, then obviously re-signing Rush but other than that we haven't signed an established world class player.

Money talks and unfortunately we can only mumble.

Very hard to call Mascherano world-class when the only team he had played for in Europe was West ham's reserves.  I'm not one to dismiss anything outside of Europe but he was very much of the same level as Alonso or Suarez, in that he was seen to be one that could go on to be great but it was still to be proven.

And when it is proven, they leave.

Robbie - we've had plenty of opportunity to offset our own mistakes but just replace shite with shite. We've got three strikers on the bench at a combined cost of £30 million, and they're all useless.

I don't think they're all useless but do you not think it's easier to buy the players Mourinho or any other top sides buy when they can basically give them what they want in their pay packet?

We've spent money but the players we buy are on about a third of what Chelsea gave their summer signings. It makes a big big difference.

Plus, if the players they buy are shite and or that big money, you can afford to let them sit in the reserves and basically buy players to replace them.

No but this is no improvement on the ones playing at the moment.

That's a matter of opinion but the stats suggest Ings is a good deal better than the ones playing at the moment.

League goals..

Ings 7

Sterling 4

Lallana 4

Lambert 2

Borini 0

Balotelli 0

Take into account Ings is younger than all of the above bar Sterling, will cost less than all of the above and is playing for a side worse than all of the above and Ings might have a case for feeling a little short changed by people's assessment of his goal scoring skills.

If his name was Ingsinho then it would all be ok.

Borini scored against Villa.

As for costing less, he'll only cost less if we shift the other players, which is something we've continually struggled to do. Lambert was supposed to be a cheap alternative to Aspas, who in turn was a cheap alternative to Borini. Until you can move the players on, buying the alternatives is just spending more and gaining next to nothing in return.

Ings has 1 league goal every 242 minutes, including a penalty. That seems quite average to me, even compared to the rubbish we already have. He's a fallback striker when we need one for the first team urgently.

Ings played four games as a number 10 and one on the right wing this season. He has been playing for a side where goal scoring opportunities are few and far between.
