It is great to watch, end to end football and they certainly play in a way which promotes technical quick players. But far from everyone there makes it at the top level. Do agree with Mertens though, reckon he's well worth a bid.

Sturridge is a good player. The people saying he's "shit" are clearly talking shite. The real question is whether he has the kind of billy big bollocks attitude that is going to rock the boat. I'm not too worried about attitude. Suarez and Bellamy are completely full of it, but if they do the business on the pitch you love them for it.

Yes we turned him down at 18 . He is boss now though . Up to 14 goals this season already . He wants out of the Netherlands as well .

Sturridge would be a great signing, better than Bent. We moan about players being unable to make the step up mentally but here's a guy who has the perfect flat-track bully, greedy attitude we lack.

I'd be concerned that Suarez and Sturridge might fall out. I think Suarez needs an A+ player (which Sturridge is not) or a peaceful character who will get on with it and not worry if Suarez moans at him a bit (Sturridge does not appear to be this either).

 

If he came I could understand it, and the lad has goals in him and can operate in a front three. But... a bit greedy, and a questionable attitude... which, whisper it quietly, are both things Suarez has slight issues with, only Suarez is so good it's not a problem.

 

If Sturridge comes he will have to fall in line.
