I don't think a bloke being paid tens of thousands per week to manage the team should be dictating to paying supporters what they should & shouldn't be singing. Maybe just me.

He was constantly trying to gee people in the Main Stand up. Again, I don't like to see that from managers or players.

Don't get me wrong, I thought Klopp was amazing and will always remember him winning the first title in 30yrs above all else but as for making a God of him or thinking Slot has an 'impossible' task following him, count me out.

It’s not just you.

I’m bored so looking into when players should be returning. Assuming they all take their mandatory 3 week break…

WC 15/7 - Robbo, Szoboszlai.

WC 22/7 - N/a.

WC 29/7 - Alisson & Jota early in the week and then VVD, Gakpo, Gravenberch & Konate late in the week.

WC 5/8 - Trent, Gomez, Nunez, Mac Allister, Diaz.

Don’t think I’ve missed anybody.

Doesn’t give those back WC 5/8 much time to prepare for Ipswich, although I’d assume they wouldn’t have to do much fitness work.

A few of them would do themselves a massive favour by being back a week early and trying to get into the side.

Really think our preseason games are strange, why would you play Arsenal and the Mancs in two of 4 preseason games.

About generating as much money over in the states as they can.

In repeating what was said above, some of them, if not back early, should really be having a few days holiday in the states so they can link up with the team as quick as possible.

Most of our Euros representatives played little enough football, which is good.

Fucking hell so less than a fortnight and barely a fortnight pre-season for 9 key players.

Simple answer is the organizers don't believe Americans will come to watch Liverpool v Trabzonspor, Nice, etc. but will come to watch games between top clubs. I personally believe they're wrong about that, anyone that follows football here knows damn well that pre-season friendly matches are about match fitness primarily and don't expect to see the full starting 11 in their pomp. It's the same with pre-season basketball, American Football, and even baseball over here. It's just an opportunity to see the club you support going live and the vast majority of American fans know exactly what they're signing up for  with these matches because they follow the sport,

Sure if you're taking your kid for the first time it might be a bit disappointing but in theory you'd have explained to your kid that this is for training.

Liverpool have only came to California once in my lifetime, and they did play Chelsea, but best believe I was there with other Reds and we all knew the score but it was still a fun experience and a chance to watch us live without paying the fortune to make the trip to the city itself. Everyone I personally went with loved it and the support groups around my area were out in full force. We could've been playing Tranmere and we'd have still gone.

Good, the friendlies we have at the moment look like awful prep.

I do wonder why we haven’t arranged more than 4 this summer.

City never normally organise many either.

I wonder if we think the games will be more challenging / competitive (ie point to prove) putting members of the squad against each other, on one of the carpets at Kirkby, rather than playing on a ploughed potato field at Tranmere or Fleetwood etc.

With a new manager coming in, it makes sense to have less games and more time on the training pitch.

Once the season starts there will be very little time to train before the first International break in September, then the Champions League kicks in.

Yeah, I think that’s fair. Also gives him the opportunity to look at more players as well.

Sure I read somewhere Harvey Blair is impressing.
