Suarez - I'm not going to not vote for him because he'll be in the points all season, the lad is fantastic. I just love watching him. Fair play for not biting the ref/linesman.

Lucas - Another splendid performance from Lucas, sometimes there seems to be three of him on the pitch.

Skrtel- Thrown in at right back and the lad suddenly turns into a fucking striker. Excellent header. I think if the defender had go there first his head would have ended up in the goal with the ball.

The new boys Adam, Henderson, Enrique and Downing all did well too.

Splendid stuff.

Occasionally it's been difficult to find more than one on this list, how fab it is to have to work hard to pare the list down to three:

Lucas - extremely effective, and dare I say it, dominant performance.

Adam - a lot of running, and created great opportunities with two or three world class balls Alonso would have been proud of.

Downing - so much more to his game than running with the ball. Consistently excellent.

Guest Numero Veinticinco

A very hard call today. I could pick quite a few to go in the top three.

Suarez

Adam

Henderson

Downing, Lucas, Skrtel and Enrique all played well, too.

Lucas- Hard as nails today.

Suarez - that ball to Downing was poetry.

Downing- the space he creates for others to run in to is something we have been missing from a winger for years. Also his attacking okay and crossing was excellent, just pipping Adam for 3rd spot.

Pleased for Henderson today, after the goal he looked less nervous and more settled than the first two games.

Just how nice was it today to have three goals coming from three different players coming from three different positions? The diversity of our goals and goalscorers are gonna make defenders sweat. Not even our strikers were on the board today, despite their contributions.

1. Suarez

2. Lucas

3. Downing

I might also have to concede defeat in my attempt to portray the latter's pace as average... He has definitely worked on it during the summer though, so I wasn't completely wrong at the time I said it:whistle:
