Parker over Ireland on the assumption Mascherano leaves.

 

Kompany over De Jong. Kompany is a silky defensive midfielder or central defender. He reads the game well and gets his tackles in. A much better all round player than De Jong, who is a thug.

 

Remy over Crouch. We need some pace up front. This lad has that, plus he is two footed (apparently). He is young and hungry, and if Nando was out we wouldn't necessarily have to change our style.

 

Black pudding over white pudding too. I've only had white pudding once (in Ireland I seem to recall) and I remember it being a bit too salty.

 

What does the forum think:

 

Figueroa or Salcido?

Salcido, simply because I've not seen enough of Figueroa to have an opinion on him.

Figueroa for me, I see a lot of potential going forward and that he could do well. Wouldn't mind seeing our youth given a chance either.

 

Parker's a loser. Loser's mentality. Valiant battler that always ends up on the losing side as the best player. Charlton. Newc. West Ham. Say. No. More.

 

Where would Ireland play for us?

 

Question: Torres or 45m? For me, Hodgson would spend it wisely on players that'll play more than half the season. Anything over 45= result.
