Have you ever been totally & embarrasingly wrong about a player ?

 

About 3 years ago , I bored my mates stupid about Ricardo Vaz Te when I saw him play for Bolton & insisted he was going to be immense.

 

Catching up on newspapers this week I see he has gone to Hamilton on loan so world domination may be on hold.

Stu Monty, first time I played with him he was electric, work rate was un parallel, finishing, strong in the tackle, he had everything.Turned out it was just a massive fluke performance, turned up next week and played like what can only be described as a cabbage in Dortmund socks, terrible business it was, bad sportsman to boot.

I thought Diao would be good, I also did not understand why we spent so much money on Reina after his first few appearances, he was clumsy as hell coming off his line in the beginning, but he soon won me over.

As it turned out he was half-arsed, free-loading shithouse, interested only in what he could leech out of the club and not what he could contribute.

The highlight of his less than glittering Anfield career was when he wrapped his balls around a goalpost.

Whereas Morientes was disappointing, Babb imho was a grade A twat. To add insult to injury, the cheeky cunt now has the audacity to turn up on telly giving 'Expert' pundit opinions.

I was actually very unhappy when we sold Garcia and bought Torres. I was convinced Torres will get no more goals than Garcia did. Never in my wildest dreams I had him down as a prolific goal machine.

I was also not convinced about Reina when he signed. Again, delighted.

 

On the negative side, I was fucking delighted when we signed Kewell. And I thought Cisse was going to be the next Rush.
