Young czech on his way to Liverpool.

 

According to Banik Ostrava websites, their young midfielder Jakub Sokolik is about to sign for Liverpool.

 

Sokolik turns 16 this Friday, and the players agent claims his client is on his way to Liverpool to hold talks with Liverpool, and they expect things to be concluded shortly. Sokolik has international matches on u-16 level and is regardes as a hot prospect for the future. General manager for Banik Ostrava Werner Licka says Liverpool has followed him closely for a while and they are not surprised over the interest.

 

He added "We have agreed terms with Liverpool in principal, but not all formalities are concluded. Jakub will travel to Liverpool to discuss personal terms, and it`s no surprise Liverpool wants to sign the player as he has a huge potential. jakub knows what he wants and is a sensible lad. Personally im no fan of international transfers on players this young, but on the other side its a big reward for our work."

 

"If Jakub progress and maked his debut for their first team, this will be one of the bigges transfers in Baniks history" their club chairman Tomas Trucha said.

Im surprised there has`nt been any " He`s better than Lucas " posts yet!

 

I went to check my e-mails on Virgin Media yesterday & was greeted with the banner headline ' Is Lucas capable of murder ? ' and immediately had to check I hadn't logged on here by mistake , before realising he is some tosser in Eastenders.

I'd take anyone on loan now. Any "big name" player, like Baptista, struggling at their club is more than welcome here. Can't be any worse than the rest of the shite on our bench. We have nothing to lose really. Wouldn't mind getting Shevchenko for a season but more chance of the blueshite signing Torres with the Clingon money than them loaning anyone to us.
