Fuck. If I wasn't in some hostel in SE Asia I'd be all over this trip, and I'm older than Ted.

Only on some shitty piece of paper, dude. You're 21 at heart. That's what really counts.

Old McDonald on the other hand.....

Can anyone recommend a few hotels to stay in? Currently staying in the Luxor but have the option to change? Always thought tutankhamun looked a bit of a cunt.

We stayed in the Luxor and, whilst it was sound, it's so far out of the way.

Heard nothing but good things about both the MGM and Planet Hollywood, mate.

If you like the desert / want to get out of Vegas for the day, I'd recommend visiting:

Area 51 / Rachel, NV

Valley of Fire National Park

Hoover Dam

Oatman, AZ

I wouldn't recommend driving to the Grand Canyon, it is quote far - helicopter would be better - and don't, don't, don't go to the Grand Canyon sky walk. It is a massive shitty ripoff by all accounts.

I was going to go to Toronto in August, but that's fell through now so I think I'm going to book Vegas at the weekend. It's only £80 more for two of us to go for 9 nights rather than 7 so I'll probably do that. Deffo going to do a trip to the Grand Canyon.

I'm thinking of staying at the Monte Carlo, anyone stayed there before?

Tell me more about Vegas you gang of cunts.

I bump this thread yesterday and so far I just get a solitary reply about banging negro prostitutes. Which is about what I expected like, but still.

Amazing place mate - if you want some info PM us we went about 14 months ago so it was quite recent.

Cheers, to be fair I reckon I know most of what I want to do, I was mainly wondering about the Monte Carlo if anyone has stayed there. I've got my choice of hotels, MGM, Luxor, NYNY etc... but i just fancy that one.

There will be tons to do in the night like going to see Penn and Teller, my bird can't get her head around the fact David Copperfield isn't David Blaine though. I've told her they are different people but she still thinks we're going to see Blaine when we get there.

I've found this place that looks ace called The Pub in the hotel I'm looking at staying which sells over 300 different beers. The drinks menu is about 5 times bigger than the Ship n Mitre one.

Go to the Peppermill diner, it's opposite Circus Circus, some of the lads on here recommended it and it's fucking quality.

Go and get a buffet at one of the good hotels, we got one for £15 equivelant at Casear's. BReads, bacon, eggs, fish, steak, ham, everything - we were nearly crying it was so fucking good. They entice you in with that shit thinking that once you're there they'll get the money back at the craps tables - but if you're not a gambler like I'm not, the fucking joke's on them.

Even if you're not into clubbing go to a club, we went to Pure - there's a rooftop bar where you can see the strip, it was fucking unreal.

Eat a meal at the top of the Stratosphere. It's like St John's beacon on steds and rotates slowly. I ate the best steak I'd ever had up there while a table of milfs were sat at the next table wth an elvis impersinator and helicopters flew past the windows as the strip lit up before us - you couldn't have drawn a more awesome Vegas image.

Go to the Venetian hotel, it's got gondolas in.

Get the chopper ride to the bottom of the grand canyon, I spewed but I'd been at Pure the night before, not many people can say they've walked on the bottom there. Beware of inferior trips though, some will take you to the edge or make you ride quads or some shit, bollocks to that.

You must go to Freemont street at night, you just must - there's a seperate thread on here about it.

I loved the Rat Pack tribute act at the Gold Nugget too, it's a proper old school casino near Freemont in the original centre of town.

Get a monorail pass, it runs along the back of the strip. But only after you've walked it a few times, you've got to have it in your face.

See the Belagio water show as many times as you can, especially at night.

See Love, the Circ Du Soleil show at The Mirage, even if you're not mad on the Beatles, just trust me - see it!

Imagine you're Jimmy Conway when you tip.

This is what I'm talking about, cheers Sec. Repped.

I'm definitely going to see Love, I'm a massive Beatles fan so that's one of the first things getting booked. That and Penn and Teller.

Arguing with the Mrs over seeing Celine Dion. She's having trouble seeing that no means no.

Currently planning a road trip from LA to Miami via Vegas next March/April.

Fly to LA where we'll spend a few days and they get a car and drive to Vegas for a few days then onto Miami for the Winter Music Conference taking in as many places as we can on the way. Putting aside 4 weeks for this little adventure.

I just died and went to heaven. That. Looks. Amazing.

I have to go to Vegas soon. How much are you looking at spending if you go for a week if you do ALL the things Section just mentioned?
