He will have been praised to high heaven in the match thread, but fuck it, there are other threads about the lad, but I don't fucking care, he is having a new one of his own.

 

He was fucking excellent today, the best reds debut I can remember in a long time. He was quiet for the first 20 minutes, but once Rafa pulled him over to the sidelines during a break in play and gave him some instructions, he ruled. I was watching some of his touches, awareness and skill and he is just what we have been missing. He can beat a man with skill and a pass, he has filled out, looks strong and he is going to be a real asset for us.

 

He gives us a final product and the link up axis with Aurelio on the left was magic from 25 minutes onwards.

 

Hopefully he is going to be a real star, you can see why Rafa wanted him. It was a high octane game to make your debut in, but he fucking rocked the place out, man of the match for me given all the circumstances.

 

Let Riera~mania run wild.

That was the best our left side has looked in ages.Aurelio had a great game.Riera looks a clever player,great first touch and quick to use the ball.As soon as he realised that he wouldn't get a free kick everytime someone tackled him,he really contributed to the team.Impressive debut,let's hope that he can maintain that standard.Must have fuckin killed Fergie to concede that we were the better team.Hope their fuckin coach breaks down on the way home.

Great debut. People have been saying how Brown has become a good right back, so if Riera can give him a hard time I'm sure he can give some of the 'lesser' teams fullbacks a bit of a nightmare. Some very nice touches and some very nice simple well-weighted balls as well. I particularly liked his eagerness to get in the box when we're attacking down the other flank.

He put the best cross of the match in as well as that shite one though to be fair. First half, back post ball to Benayoun - it was fucking ace.

 

I like him, he's gonna fucking rule so hard.

 

Cant remember than, must have been when I was having a lucky piss.
