It does when they are pretty much out of the scuddetto but still alive in Europe, have a manager experienced in the CL and are amongst the favourites to win the competition again.

Considering how far fetched Rafa being sacked was before Chris wrote that piece, then yes he would be right if Rafa is sacked in the next 6 months.
