When I was a kid I wanted to be Michael Caine in 'The Eagle Has Landed'.

 

It wasnt until much later that I found out being a Nazi was a bad thing.

I had the same thing after watching Schindler's List. I look back on all those dinner party conversations before I realised and cringe.

Reminds me of the Schindler sketch that Gervais did on his Politics tour (thinking it was a porno because 'Barry Norman said have a box of kleenex ready')...

First I wanted to be a fireman, as inspired by Fireman Sam. Then an archaeologist after seeing Jurassic Park then by the time I thought about it properly (around 13) I wanted to be either a graphic designer or architect. Job done.
