Anyone excluding Mo Salah from their 3 is surely taking the piss.

It’s so ridiculous if serious, it would actually make me question their every footballing opinion. Mental

It is absolutely ridiculous to not have Salah in top 3 IMHO.

I honestly can't believe how people can leave him out.

I loved Mane - but it is madness in my book to say he was more important to us than Salah was and of course continues to be.

If we're talking the top three performers, then it's obviously Virgil, Alisson and Salah, as most people have said.

Objectively though the most important player is clearly Coutinho, because without him we never would have been able to afford Virgil and Alisson in the first place.

Exactly why Mo wasn't in my list. Taking away Coutinho it is obviously Salah. But your point is why VVD and Alisson were my first two. Without preventing goals we weren't going to win anything. Imagine the scorelines with Mo,Bobby and Sadio up front and Mignolet,Skrtel and Co at the back. Scored 120,conceded 150.

Yeah counter than argument imagine our front 3 was Brandt, Bobby, Gotze during that period.

Team game, but where would we be without these. It was much easier to choose a top three than I thought it would be.

1. Alisson - the best in the world in a position that we struggled with for decades

2. Salah - immense, toss of a coin between him and Alisson for top spot really

3. Van Dijk - peerless until his injury, thankfully looking more like that player again now

Notable runners-up: Sadio, Trent, Robbo, Bobby, Matip, Fabinho, Milner

Before I opened the thread that was my top 3 as well.

I honestly don't think it's even up for debate

Alisson is the most important signing, klopp has ever made in his career, and I don't just mean his career here.

What a already had salah and van dijk yet didn't win anything.

OK, they weren't here long, but alisson was the catalyst to absolute greatness.

I can't remember the stats, but from memory, he barely conceded a goal before Christmas, in this first year.

We won the champions league that first season with alisson and the league, at an absolute canter the following.

We'd have been a good team with both can dijk and salah, but Ali has made us the great team.

Without the Coutinho sale we'd probably have missed out on a least one of the others.

Think this is a fitting example of being Israeled.

Sorry, couldn't resist.
