Taylor will probably get plaudits after the game for not taking centre stage in a big game and for letting the game flow.

But, I think he’s been fairly poor. Particularly when you look at what Mac Allister and van Dijk were booked for earlier today. There’s been a few incidents in this game that were more worthy of a booking.

I can see the arguments for championing a more at distance/hands off approach to refereeing.

But, where’s the “consistency, kids?” Players should go onto the pitch knowing what they should and shouldn’t get booked for. And that should be determined by the rules of the game, rather than by what mood the referee is in on a particular day.

I’m interested to see if there’s a blatant decision late on in this game that the ref or VAR don’t give because ‘its a big game’

Howard Webb style , Wonder where he's hiding today

Having watched Haaland a bunch here... He's either lazy or just shits out of a lot of tackles, just as well he's an absolute class goalscorer because I really don't see much else to his game any time I watch City.

This is really not the game Sky hyped it up to be.

im hoping Keane calls it out at the end for being poor

It’s a massive game though. Winner of this has a great chance for second place.

Yeah - all well and good 'letting game flow' etc etc....But where is the consistency across refs and from game to game - we picked up 5 yellows today in what was not a dirty game....

He's the size of a mammoth and no surprise he's not what you need to play tippy tappy football. It takes to long for the message to get from his brain to tell his feet which direction to turn
