Yeah, its very much something driving both Barca and Real, they aren't dropping it.  And yes, the first iteration may be odd, but the income will be the litmus test.  If it unlocks Pandora's Box in terms of broadcast rights then all the top PL clubs will be there in a shot.

The CL will die without Real and Barca.

If you take your supporters hat off for a minute and put on a business head, pretend you have  billions to invest in a club. Do you buy at the top middle or bottom of the market?

Geordies have it all from a buyers point of view. Unconditional support in a one team city. Good infrastructure and relatively cheap. Provided they start winning quickly.

Without a new ground or potential expansion we've peaked for ROI. Unless super league is coming then buying Villa is no use. You need to buy a top club and be in for the long term. Or not give a fuck about returns.

Fans on twitter are already writing fantasy shopping lists of who they want to buy. Not many protests either so I really don’t think there will be marches etc.

No surprise that this has hit the news the week after an ageing midfield capitulates at Brighton. We’re being played like performing seals to look the other way and keep buying shirts, tickets, tv subs et . Don’t worry your pretty heads about women or gay rights, the team are too old, Mbappe et al are on their way and it’s all going to be brilliant. It’s all utter utter fucking wank and I’m sick of it.

Their ambition has always been about money. They won the 1st lottery when they bought us and the 2nd lottery when they got Klopp.

If a potential football owners ambition isn't money, exposure, power or all three then they're either not in a position to buy a football club or a chancer you wouldn't want to buy a football club especially at the upper levels of the game.

Not sure why people say it like it's some huge criticism or circumstance unique to us.

How are they going to launch a super league without the English clubs though?

German and French clubs aren't interested either so essentially its going to be Spanish and Italian teams only?

The original idea was 50% English clubs, 25% Spanish and 25% Italian.

It's wishful thinking by Madrid and Barcelona and Juventus. the super league won't happen without the English clubs.

This is not a dig at you mate so sorry if I offend you. You seem ok but on this you are way off the mark. there is no point taking the moral high ground now. We were gone when H&G bough us. Just because they didnt chop heads off does not elevate them to a superior echelon of cunts

If FSG had a little bit more ambition in the first place we'd be sitting on a couple more trophies.

And this is the point completely missed by the FSG fanboys.

There's only twitter cunts wanting a murderous, oil state to buy us and sign the likes of Mbappe. The majority (including myself) would be fine with FSG as owners if they just didn't act like total mingebag cunts and supported Klopp properly.

Good point mate but do you think Henry makes these decisions or is it all down to maths and risk analysis? Its an investment not a hobby.

So the line wasn't when John Houlding wanted more money from Everton or when we were owned by the family of a betting company, they were ok, it was specifically H&G?

Yeah you are probably right, But the old guys did want success on the filed. Now that is one of several variables involved in dividends.

It's not a pop at you and time plays a factor in it, there'd be far more opposition to betting companies owning a club now than there was then for example, but these arbitrary lines in the sand always seem odd when it's always been about money and it's often been about money from questionable means, the scale is the only thing that really changes.

Never forget as a kid being told not to love the club. They dont give a fuck about fans, Having you crowed in, stink of piss everywhere etc etc while winning everything,

Support the team fuck the organisation.

Even the team you have to squint so it all becomes some homogenous blob of red because the players individually will fuck you over.

About this rumour of Qatar, and specifically, QSI buying Liverpool, people should know they have run PSG absolutely terribly. They are richer than God, but have run a circus over there. We'd be not only a sportswashing/tool of visibility for Qatar, we'd also likely be a complete joke.

The worst thing is if FSG invested 100mill net a season with Klopp as manager we would have at least 3/4 titles and least another UCL they are on the right line the club can run itself all they had to do was invest when it was required the building they already done and they will make 10x profit from original investment the minge bags
