Real are confident in signing Jude Bellingham next summer, although Dortmund sporting director Sebastian Kehl is still intent on offering a new deal after the World Cup. Bellingham's contract expires in 2025. Real believe they can sign him for under £100m without an extension.

But am told Bellingham has not 'picked' Real just yet. He's keeping his options open. Definitely a move that's of appeal, but Liverpool and Manchester City still very much involved in an open race. Erling Haaland has already told him to join #MCFC.

Manchester United have work to do. Bellingham sees #UCL football as essential. Chelsea are also keeping tabs on Bellingham and would be prepared to structure a deal in very preferable manner for Dortmund. But like #MUFC, #CFC are not currently frontrunners.

Not only about on-field appeal of a club or package, landing Bellingham requires time, energy and a personal pitch behind the scenes. #LFC and Real have invested more than other clubs to date and both feel when he makes a decision (whether Jan or next summer) that will pay off.

Bellingham sees champions league as essential we do fuck all to improve our midfield making qualifying harder with the fantasy Bellingham next year lads. If we don't qualify for champions league FSG better spend fucking shitloads to improve our chances the year after.

People say they are risk averse, they will take massive risks to avoid spending in the short term.

Unfortunately if we don't get CL I would fully expect them to say we cannot afford to spend and use the "self sufficienct" model as the justification while completely missing the point that it is all circular. The less successful we are the less money we get etc.

It was all the excuses before we heard when we weren't top 4. The best players prefer to go to the top 4 - irrespective of their potential playing time. Once we hit top 4 it was players want to play and you cannot guarantee that when you have such a good 1st 11. If our midfield were as creative and world class as FSG were with excuses we would be pissing the league.

Hopefully we at least get CL!!

'Am told' - that's the ITK equivalent of a pinpoint crossfield pass. Textbook stuff.

'Sources close to' - Diving header

'Not currently believed to be' - Brilliant last gasp tackle

'Has told team-mates' - Strong wristed one handed save

The best of all, of course, is 'Hearing', the ITK equivalent of something like this:
