They’re through though.

So England should be.

When Scotland are relying on Che Adams, it’s a complete mid-match is expectations.

It’s like the game is Russia in 2018. Croatia kill the opposition by not letting that have the ball.

So if Spain draw, they're through on goal difference,  apparently. Same with Portugal losing by no more than 1 goal.

Makes a mockery of the idea of playing at the same time, when the 3rd places are actually competing against each other.

This format is utter shite.

Are the ITV commentary team Southgate's PR agents?

Yes, well, they're the current England manager's PR team.  For the next 7 days, he's a top bloke and broody genius keeping his cards close to his chest.   Next Tuesday we see his cards, all of them have 'bravery' scrawled on them, and he will be applauded out of Wembley following the 'brave loss' as a 'true gentleman' and they'll all start talk about who might be next manager.  At no point will his managerial ability be mentioned.

You just can’t let modric have the freedom of the park at any age.  They’ve been brutal on the whole and won’t trouble anyone worth talking about.

Can’t wait for England’s next and last game.

You don't let Modric have the freedom of the park, he just takes it. He's just an old skool midfielder that runs games.
