According to the Echo podcast, Ajax are not the team of the last few years. Davy Klassen is anchoring the midfield which shows how strong they... aren't.

They have pace though, which is always a danger especially against our high defence.

Prediction -

Amsterdamsche Football Club Ajax - 2

Liverpool Football Club - 4.

The Jones thing is cool. This is his big chance to establish himself for real minutes this season with a big performance. Think the game and the opponent will suit him.

Jones has a huge opportunity to make a claim for Fabinho's position in midfield with him taking Virg's place at the back.

Probably likely as well.

Keita as we know is unreliable.

Milner can't play 2 or 3 games a week now.

Thiago has a poor injury record.

Lad may find himself right in frame most weeks.

We've only ONE clean sheet in 12 in this competition and lost 9 out of last 23 games all the way back to Roma away in the semi in 18! That's not great at all. We need to be getting a draw here at least.

The fact Keita is injured for this is the most Keita thing ever. He's approaching Leonhardsen levels of pissing me off.

Damn, so he is injured again? FFS. Thought he was being kept back for the weekend because he just recovered from covid.

Iggy Pop wrote a song about him years in advance.
