Would it not have made more sense for him to say then that they are one of the top six clubs in Britain? I do think he meant that if they joined the English league they would finish top six, I'm sure he said something along the lines that the English teams are scared of letting it happen for this reason.

I would just point our that Celtic have had a half empty stadium at many league games for a few seasons.

 

They are a huge club (as are Rangers) but to say they fill a 60,000 stadium every other week is total nonsense. No doubt they would fill it if they were playing in the English top division, although that will never happen in my opinion.
