Not the prettiest win, but a vital three points. This keeps us right on the tails of Arse and the Mancs. 

 

6 clean sheets in a row away from Anfield, we rode our luck a bit tonight, and Mignolet did well whenever called upon.

 

Calm and assured performance from Gerrard when he came on, which allowed Allen further up to do the pressing. Thought Rodgers got it spot on with his subs (and team-talk) 2nd half, good to see as well.

How many times have the Mancs got the rub of the green this season? We deserved some luck and credit to Rodgers for making changes, even midway through the second half.

Thought we were far better that half but they faded badly as an attacking threat. Hopefully it was over us changing to a diamond 4 ourselves and matched them. Our better players then took over. Joe Allen was great again as was Skrtel and sakho.

Rodgers' first win away there, 6 away clean sheets in a row, there were a few positives from a shitfest that was much better in the second half.

Attacking wise we were poor and it speaks volumes that it took 2 lucky touches to score a goal.

Lucky but just shows you; keep a clean sheet and anything can happen. First half of the season, play shit and lose. Now, keep them out and a win is still possible.
