I thought he had an excellent game though Mignolet - he looked decisive and made some very decent saves. Coutinho's shot should have gone across the goalkeeper as we had runners closing in.

Yeah good game, solid with no mistakes and some decent saves. I guess I was sort of responding to the people (I probably made up) who say he kept us in it, or that we would have lost without Mig. He had the sort of game you want from a keeper, but there were no "how the fuck did he save that!"s.

Agreed but compared to Mignolet of old he was outstanding. I do genuinely feel as though we signed a new keeper along with a new RWB with Ibe in the Jan window.

Mignolet's form is currently like the year before we signed him, solid Match of the Day form. I still cry a little inside though when I see the proper keepers, the match winners, at Chelsea and Man Utd. I'd add Lloris to that normally but he's been off it of late.
