I was up late for some reason watching tv when the news broke about Diana. I was in the final year if school I think.

 

I called the house phones of 3 or 4 girls from school, with 141 on, and just said "she's dead, have you heard" in a really droll tone, then hung up.

 

I don't know why I did it, and I've never told a living soul about that before now. Nobody.

 

It was funny knowing I'd done it though and hearing a couple if them mention this weird call the next day at school.

We used to make collect calls to america from the phone-box by ours through the international operator. Quite often they would accept the call and i would have a chat with random americans until they realised it was costing them about a tenner a minute to be asked what bart simpsons like in person by some little shit they dont know the other side of the world. We worked out the code 001 213 655 and then just added any combination of 4 numbers after it. Im sure it was beverly hills.

We randomly hit upon the number of the custody suite at our local police station.Spent an hour giving them shit til we saw two police cars coming. Went down a back alley and managed get away,good times.

 

We also one night started randomly ringing people from my mates golf club. He had a book with people's numbers in for any time you may be short for a game. dave felgate who used to play for Bolton was a member there.

so we started ringing people at 4am saying it was dave and did they fancy a game. Must have rang forty people fuck knows how many people must have collared him over it.
