January Transfer Window 2015

The £120m that we spent in the summer was offset by bringing in £80m, the increase in TV revenue, Champions League football and getting 3 of the 4 highest earners off the wage bill.

As well as the top 4 position you mentioned, there are 3 others competitions to play for; in the semi final of one, we're favourites for the other and the FA cup has given as a favourable tie. There should absolutely be money to spend in this window.

There should be, but the question is whether FSG will choose to make it available to Rodgers. If they're considering replacing him at the end if the season they might want to hold as much money as possible back for a new manager.

More likely is that they've no plans to sack him, but want to lay down a marker to show that he can't automatically expect money every window, and that they expect him to do better on transfers than he has to date.

This is spot on.

Even if we could just get one in, another pacey striker with good movement and Sturridge back fit and we still get champions league.

Front 3 of Sturridge, Lacazette and Coutinho playing behind with Sterling right wing in a 3412 wins 4 out of 5 games this season.

Liverpool in not-being-as-attractive-as-they-think-they-are shocker.

Well, when Liverpool became finally attractive, by finishing second in the league and qualifying for the CL group stages, instead of investing the generated income (CL money, new TV rights deals, extra sponsorships) back to the team and make it even stronger, the board of bastards with their local slut, decided to cash-in on Suarez and let one of the club's biggest ever legends in limbo over his future. Instead of holding on to Suarez and adding another top 2-3 players (one striker, a better keeper and a top midfielder) and offer Steven Gerrard the chance to end his career in Liverpool, the disgusting idiots decided it was time to let their local slut aka Ian penisless Ayre and Yesman-Brendan along with the committee of shame to play real life Football Manager.

But all this is convenient for the former lady and the potato shite, because the lack of lure is another excuse for them to not invest any money.

From top to the bottom Liverpool F.C. is corrupt. FSG need to FUCK OFF asap and take with them their fake scouser and their Yesman-Brendan.

Give Rodgers money to sign two or three first team players, and let him spend it as he sees fit without arsing around with moneyball and spreadsheets. If he doesn't sign the right players and organise and motivate the team to improve, the case for replacing him at the end of the season will be that much clearer.

Clearer? More like open and shut. Besides, if they him gave that kind of money - for 2/3 first teamers costing at least 50-60 million - with no more instruction than 'improve the team' then they will have lost their fucking minds.

Can't see it. First rule when you're in a hole is to stop digging. Rodgers needs to produce with the materials at hand.

"More Liverpool rumours now, as the Daily Express claims Brendan Rodgers is closing in on Napoli striker Gonzalo Higuain after the Serie A side signed another striker.

Marco Gabbiadini signed for Rafa Benitez's men for £11m from Sampdoria on Friday, and the paper says the Reds know a bid of £30m will trigger Higuain's release clause and they will try and finalise a deal in the January transfer window rather than waiting until the summer."

No chance of us getting Lacette or Higuain on the cheap. The Lyon chairman Aulas is known as a very shrewd operator and look how much Napoli got for Cavani. Oh Higuain has a 100million euro clause according to this. Not that he is worth anyway near that.

As for Pjanic he will get an offer from one of the Champions League elite if he moves. Quality player.

Shouldn't cost that much to sign a good GK and striker. I'd be happy with that this window.

One thing that would encourage me is the experience of two years ago. Rodgers was unhappy that he missed out on at least one forward late in the window when he needed one, and it looks as though the scouting and planning started in earnest soon afterwards as we got Sturridge and Coutinho in January. I'd like to think something similar could happen this time round.
