It was shit, but to be fair you Aussies have had a few similar reviews in times gone by, especially when Healy was behind the stumps, he'd appeal anything.

Nothing as bad as that. You could fit two bats in the gap between the edge and ball and virtually everyone went up!

Well I remember some very similar appeals when Healy was keeping stumps.

Incredible how poor the mentality of this Australian side is. They're being humiliated.

Given I've resigned myself to losing this one, thus the series, part of me wants it to be a flogging in the hope that it may effect some change in selection policies. The Shaun Marsh decision could go down as one of the worst calls in recent history.

Oh look, Gilchrist cheating. Now every team has daft appeals etc, but along with India and Pakistan the Aussies used to be the worst!!

You're implying Healy cheated. I'm not implying England did there, just that they all clearly missed what really happened.

I agree with the fact it was a very bad appeal, but I can also remember the Aussie slip cordon and Healy appealing some very similar stuff in the late 80's early 90's. If you look back in cricket all teams have.

In the team, as captain or in this innings?

This innings, but a valid point about his captaincy as well. I believe the Aussies play NZ at home in a three test series in November and then are at home again to the WI in December. Will they stick with him against a very good NZ team or opt to replace him, if they do give him the boot then Smith would probably get the job. I guess a lot will depend on how he bats personally in this innings and in the final test at the Oval. Having said that, losing the Ashes won't go down well, especially if it happens by an innings and over 2 days.

Can someone confirm whether or not I have been dreaming or not but weren't the Aussies a shoe in for this series?

Many thought they would thrash us, after a good early summer against NZ it was always likely to be a closer series than first thought but Australia were still clear favourites with the Bookies and the cricketing fraternity.

Wished I had stuck a few notes on us winning now.

If they are going for an effort ball then they just need to take half a step back, the amount of no balls being bowled is ridiculous and has cost us two wickets here. We are still going to bum the Aussies by an innings here and regain the ashes, but we need to cut this crap out for future tests where it could easily be the difference between victory and a loss.
