Meh, I’m sure the fact that relegation ain’t happening is comfort enough unfortunately

Their next 3 games are Utd away, Spurs home and Chelsea away. Then it's Palace away and Newcastle at home. That Spurs home game will decide their fate I reckon.

They are two points from the drop zone - four points from bottom - and everybody else has played one or two fewer than them.

Averaging close to double the points per game so far under the scotch egg as they were under fatty. For every league game they have lost under him so far they have won one. Shame, I think they’ll probably escape now. If only they’d just kept the fucking phoney in charge for another half a dozen or so matches they‘d have been well and truly rooted.

I'm still holding out hope. All four teams below them have a game in hand, the bottom team being only three behind them.

Not all those teams will win that game in hand but if two do then they're back in the bottom three and they have some tricky fixtures coming up.

Everton are staying. There are so many poor clubs this season it's incredible. The gap between the, about bottom 8, is miniscule and needs not much to get out from the bottom three. They've achieved enough for me and will scrape through again. I hope not,but believe so.

I wonder where all of these poor teams would be without the points we gave to them with massive bow tied ribbons on them.

Will be interesting to see what their accounts are like again this year and if they make any heavy losses.

They will probably stay up but getting drawn into relegation battles 2 years on the run, a new stadium to pay for that's gone massively over budget and losing Russian sponsorship can't be good for their long term health. Surely they can't blame losses on Covid again?

No, they'll blame it on us.

I don't know why there is all this optimism about them staying up all of a sudden. They scraped a home win against Brentford.

This is their run in:

Chelsea (A) L

Spurs (H) D

Utd (A) L

Fulham (H) W

Palace (A) D

Newcastle (H) D

Leicester (A) L

Brighton (A) L

City (H) L

Wolves (A) D

Bournemouth (H) W

I think at best they get 10 points which would leave them on 35. Saying that you could see them nicking a win at Palace or Wolves. The home games with Spurs and Newcastle are big as I expect them to beat Fulham and Bournemouth.

I'm with you on this.

They don't score enough goals, relying on 1 nil wins at home are not going to keep them up.

Unfortunately, we'll likely need them to pick up some points in those games, which means they'll shit the bed and get beat, but then beat both Manchester clubs to spite us.

It makes for a much better story if their final year at Goodison ends in relegation and they open the new ground while they’re in the Championship.

Let them have another miracle this year, the real pain is still to come.

Another first.

First team to open a 3/4 billion ground in the Championship.
