Jefferies constantly said Hicks would get the refinance even the week the club was sold, he was tweeting every day it wasn't. He just shouldn't be considered a reliable source of info as in he's not the gospel, he's a fan like the rest of us just he's minted.

 

In fairness, didn't Hicks say at the bitter end that he had the refinancing in place but the board would let it go through? Might be some truth in that.

As well as being pretty fucking offensive to fans, you can't help but think the players aren't exactly made up with his comments.

 

A front six of Maxi, Lucas, Meireles, Cole, Gerrard and Torres should be capable of playing some very high quality football.

 

He's basically excusing his atrocious tactics. Like we've no option but to play like Wimbledon because we've got such utter cloggers.

He would rather blame everything other than his old outdated shithouse tactics and the media are only to happy to go along with it.
