R.I.P. Ron Jones

Eh... according to our history Ron Jones was killed in WW2.

Ronald Jones made five appearances in Liverpool's forward line just before the Second World War.

He scored on his debut in a 2-0 win against Manchester City at Anfield towards the end of March 1938 but that was his only goal for the club. Jones replaced Berry Nieuwenhuys three times during the 1938-39 season. They were the only matches that the South African missed that year and Ron never figured in Liverpool's first-team again.

Jones was killed in action in World War II.

Are you getting mixed up with Bill Jones Rob's Grandfather?
