John Wright, the kit man, was sacked, amongst others. Shame, he was a popular figure amongst the players and he's been there a long time. Not sure yet who else went, but the Spanish physio Victor Salinas is leaving as his contract isn't being renewed.

 

There's not going to be anybody left at this rate, I hear the tea lady is shitting herself.

Didn't he used to be the coach driver years ago and was then asked to work as the kit man?

Any chance this is being driven by a financial crisis? In all seriousness it's the kind of thing companies do when about to go into administration! All very odd.

 

We have squad players that nobody would miss earning enough in a week to pay some of these people for more than a year.

 

I seriously doubt that it's financially motivated to this level.

But you can't sack players on long contracts. You can sack lowly staff. When cutting costs, companies don't tend to axe the bosses or senior management who are expensive to dismiss...

Companies don't tend to be paying people 50k a week and have the ability to pass them on for millions of pounds.
