I posted the top 5 because my point was that both our CM`s found two defenders with most of their passes in a game at home were we need to win and they are supposed to take some of the responsibility those players out useually do and this is what we end up with, I think its shockingly poor to be honest.

 

When you pass to Arbeloa in his own half its not especially positive in an attacking sense either no.

More often than not it’s like Rafa and I have watched two different games. Rafa doing his routine speech about how we controlled the game and created enough chances to win it and blaming bad luck, when in reality we had 2 shots from a distance and maybe one clear chance missed. I hate that. Against teams like Stoke, Hull etc. we should create plenty of chances, not depend on a defensive mistake or a moment of El Nino magic.

So pretty much the same when we beat Newcastle 5-1.

2/3 centre backs, a full back and Gerrard depending who you wanna use? Possibly another attacker in babel.

Yet we won 5-1 and Lucas was one of our best players.

 

So the only difference is when he played against Newcastle he made 10 passes to Gerrard? So Gerrard wasn't playing on sunday, he couldn't do that and hence we lost.

 

So- To conclude. Passing to defenders: doesn't mean you're shit, or that you had a shit game.
