I'm god fearing, but know its probably a load of bollocks. Taking the bible literally is not good for you, I see it more as a book of messages and stories by which to base your morality; which I still don't.

I see the Harry Potter books in much the same way. I would struggle to respect someone who went to a building every Sunday morning to worship Dumbledore though.

Intelligent Design would be the ring I'd throw my hat in to, but I do believe Christianity has been a mostly positive force in the Western nations and thinks it's all too easy to bash religion.

Slagging religion off and saying it causes ALL wars (when in fact it has caused none I can think of - other than the crusades) is just as en vogue these days as slagging off America. It's simplistic, boring and lazy.

Nice try but who has been actually saying that?

Why, out of interest? You do realise "Intelligent Design" (there's an oxymoron if ever there was one) is just creationism dressed up in pseudo-scientific clothing, don't you? And that all of the evidence we have contradicts that sort of thing quite forcefully?
