How is that Newcastle goal not offside? Burn is off blocking the Villa defender.

 

The Martinez one is very close to red, I don't know how any can say otherwise.  Not that dissimilar to Mo last season at Newcastle, a professional footballer with the ball at his feet, 35 yards from goal should be considered a goal scoring opportunity if there is no goalkeeper.

I'm not even convinced it was a foul, putting a hand on a shoulder is not a foul, almiron felt it and flung himself.  Anyway there were 3 defenders back.

Nunez is a bigger goal threat but the way football goes nowadays, you cant tradeoff all around ability and off ball work.

I don't think itvwas a red but it wasn't far off.
