It's a friendly you can't take too much from it but lots of positives. Szoboszlai pressing was great and missed when he went off. Gakpo how could I doubt that signing Ljinders may be justified in saying he's a missing piece of the puzzle. Negatives too but fuck it.

Another tidy performance, really whetting the whistle for the new season.

Glad that Doak got a goal and liked the energy we kept for most of the half. Not sure what happened to Leicester but it's good that we didn't have a repeat of previous games and got the clean sheet too.

Good performance, all the young lads did well, Mac Allister and Szoboszlai getting more comfortable. Loved the intensity in the second half, still feel we were a bit too close to conceding first, that happens and we could be facing a very different picture now. Don't like that too many of our games feel like a roll of the dice. Need those signings that will bring a bit more security and control.

Watching Doak this pre season and a bit for the u21's he's ready for more 1st team football this season especially Europa league games hopefully we dont loan him out.

Only pre-season obviously, but our midfield just looks infinitely better with the added injection of athleticism, mobility, pace and quality of Macca and Szobo, and without the sluggishness, negativity and creative vacuum of Fabinho and Al-Hendo.
