The Vicar of Wibbly is trying to ramp up the rhetoric to increase his and Fox’s podcast listeners. On the face of it ridiculous, but the rhetoric is dangerous and you only need one full on mentalist to decide they’ll act.

I wouldn't put money on there being another brown tory leader, anytime soon.

fwiw I don’t really think an tha is a fascist, he seems like a decent fella but he’s had a mare here.

Absolutely. His first post about banning over 65s I took as nothing more than frustration, but to double down on it with references and charts, and then go on to talk about restricting the vote to those who pay taxes, are representative of society etc to justify his point? That was a fucking horrorshow, and to see others like it, posters who no doubt like to think of themselves as socialists who believe in an inclusive and democratic society...

Imagine an argument like that coming from someone from Reform.

Didn't you have a go at greta when she had the octopus?

You're thinking of Captain Dullard. Lectured everyone on how a blue octopus was a well known anti-semitic trope while revealing he had only googled it himself, the thick bastard.

From what I can gather from this mornings news round ups.

Tories - Losing all but one mayoral election and 500+ seats is good because it shows there's no appetite for Labour or Kier Starmer and is proof that they won't get a majority at the General Elections which means the Tories will win.

Labour - Winning all but one mayoral election and gaining 185+ seats is bad, proves there's no appetite for Labour or Kier Starmer because the Greens/Independents won some seats and is generally bad/underwhelming news meaning they could be pipped to the post by the Tory's.

I'm glad politics makes sense!

It is interesting to see pundits and commentators, even at this stage, playing down Labour's success and chances of a win at the election, but as someone who not only wants them to win but to turn the Tories into a ghost party, hopefully it will work against the narrative that Labour are guaranteed a win anyway so you should vote for someone else if you want the Tories out.

All the projections about vote share coming out now are saying:

35% Lab

26% Tories

Suggesting not enough to win Lab an overall majority.

The other worry for me is those projected to vote Reform will come back to the tories when it really matters.

This is far from a done deal yet IMO - yes Lab will no doubt get the highest vote share, but we need a majority to get the real change we need and it looks like there is still a fair bit of work to do to get to that position.
