Bold selection. It'll either be a genuis move or we'll get absolutely battered.  Going to be lots of goals

Agreed.

Looking at the selection objectively though, it's either a case of Jota as the 4th forward or Fabinho as a 3rd midfielder. Considering Fabinho has been worse than syphilitic dog shit all season long then at least this selection gives us a fighting chance

I am gonna be watching Nunez closely today, to learn more about him. I am not looking for perfection or a world class performance, but some things I'd like to see (apart form the obvious goals)...pressing; composure in the box; discipline, good movement...

...and a hat-trick obvs.

The rest I'll wait for.

Team same as Tues

Well, it shows he's trying to make 424 work, which I don't have a problem with, in fact I'm happy he's sticking with something, win or lose.

Partey likely to dominate our midfield, but we cede ground there to break quick with numbers.

4 midfielders injured, what else can we do.

Paul Merson is one jibbering mess, he waffles on and stutters through every show he's on, started talking about Leicester before instead of Leeds ? Now he's saying Arsenal's midfield will rip Liverppol apart today. Hasn't he lost millions on betting ? His knowledge about football obviously isn't all that must be comedic value.

This formation offers more defensive solidity than our 4-3-3 IMO

Our centre halves won't be on halfway line most of game and our 2 central midfielders will sit closer to them.

We can sit the full backs a bit deeper with this line up too as we are not as dependent on them for attacking width, but when they do bomb on we can cover them better as two midfielders are closer/sitting.

We can get ball quickly to the 3 playing off Nunez and let them interchange and play as opposed to our slow midfielders being high up pitch and being bypassed onto our centre halves/them trying to cover space vacated by full backs with no help.

I think Nunez could benefit from the fullbacks being deeper whipping crosses in from slightly deeper might give him and even Mo a bit of space in behind.
