Because when Bobby is even at his worst he’s a damn sight better option than Bamford. 
 

And if for some fucking crazy reason you think Bamford at his best is slightly better than Bobby at his shitest, how much would it cost to bring him here? How much English tax are we adding on top? How the fuck do you think that’s ever going to happen?

That’s just not true I’m afraid. Bamford last season was better than Bobby, by some distance too. Bamford scored 17 goals in the PL last season, just one shy of Bobby’s total goals in the previous TWO seasons combined. I don’t really care about the cost. We made a profit in the last window. Spend the cash on Bamford.

Firmino doesn't play that role for us.

I live less than 15mins from Elland Road. My existence is full of Leeds fans, some are my closest friends.
 

There is no doubt that Leeds have some of the most deluded supporters in this country, but even they have been very slow to the party with regards to lauding Bamford. Barn door Bamford he was called before last season.

 

To be fair to the lad and probably credit to their manager, he did well last season. Far exceeding what even their most diehard of fans thought he would. 
 

In part, he’s done well because he plays every week and the system suits him. At least the first of those reasons wouldn’t be the case at Anfield. 
 

He’s reached his ceiling though. No shame in that, it’s ended up being higher than it ever looked it would be. 
 

Not a chance we should be looking at him. Aside from the required fee and wages, he’s not good enough for a team wanting to compete for the big pots.

We should have brought someone in last month to push or replace Bobby. But someone at the same kind of age and profile as when we bought Bobby. Bamford is so average it's unbelievable. And 28. Honestly I don't get why there'd be any interest in Bamford.

Yep, it's similar to the goal scoring midfielder discussion, if he's not playing further forward by design it doesn't matter who you have in that position the output won't be the same as if you were playing to their strengths.

 

Bobby's job is to drop deeper and make the space for Mane/Salah, move the play on and hopefully arrive later in the box to pick up the rebounds. He should still be scoring more than he is at the moment but it's not his primary function in the team.

Bobby's other job is to press the fuck out of the opposition whenever we lose the ball. Ignore the number on the back of his shirt, he's not a striker and doesn't play like one. We play more of a diamond 4-4-2 than a 4-3-3.

We clearly do have someone to push Firmino and it's Jota. And it's quite different the way we play when we have Mane, Jota and Salah on the pitch, it's a real alternative. 

 

What we need is someone to push Mane because he's truly stunk and for a long while.

Have you actually watched Bamford play? 
 

He plays a completely different role to Bobby, the only thing you could argue is the same is they nominally play (actually start) centrally in a front 3. 
 

Bamford would struggle to get on the bench here let alone fucking outperform Bobby.

Harvey Elliott can take that role on, along with replacing Gini and Shaqiri. Read an article in the Echo saying he was gonna save us millions. Must be true.

Jota has played both left and central. He's been central this season because Bobby came back later. Personally I see him as the 4th striker, who fills a gap when someone is missing, injuries aside, I don't expect him to replace mane or Bobby.
